Welcome to our Nonpareil (Apple Brandy) product page
The idea of producing apple brandy came from the fact that Stonehouse Brewery had been producing its Sweeney Mountain range of ciders for a few years and “all we had to do” was distill this to produce a brandy.
Our apple brandy is distilled from our own cider to produce this wonderfully smooth craft spirit. Following distillation the spirit is matured in new American oak casks at approximately 65% before being bottled at 45%. The name is derived from Sweeney Nonpareil, which is a native Shropshire apple, that almost became extinct in the 1970s, and is one of the varieties of local apples we press to make the cider.
Perfect served neat as a digestif. We also love mixing it with lemon juice, sugar syrup and sparkling wine to create a Nonpareil ’75.
Available in 50cl bottles.
