Sweet and sophisticated this is a fruity Christmassy treat, but lovely enough to drink all year round
Glassware – Tumble
Ingredients: Lots of ice, 25ml Henstone Old Dog Corn Liquor, 25ml Sweet Red Vermouth, 25ml Cherry Brandy. Garnish: Maraschino Cherry
Berry Old Fashioned
A fruity version of one of the original American cocktails
Glass – Coupe or tumbler
Ingredients: 60ml Henstone Old Dog Corn Liquor, Handful of Raspberries and Blackberries, 25ml Sugar Syrup, 1-2 Dashes Aromatic Bitters. Method: Muddle the berries and sugar syrup together then place in a shaker with ice and the rest of the ingredients. Shake or stir and then pour into a glass either as it is or through a strainer if you prefer. Garnish: Berries
The Manhattan
A boozy New York favourite
Glass – Martini glass
Ingredients: 60 ml Henstone Old Dog Corn Liquor, 20 ml Sweet Red Vermouth, 2 Dashes Angostura Bitters. Method: Mix all the ingredients with ice in a shaker and pour into a chilled glass. Garnish: Maraschino Cherry
Paper Plane
Bittersweet and citrusy with the underlying corn liquor warmth
Glass – Coupe
Ingredients: 25 ml Henstone Old Dog Corn Liquor, 25 ml Amaro Nonino, 25 ml Aperol, 25 ml Fresh Lemon Juice. Method: Mix all the ingredients with ice in a shaker and pour into a chilled glass. Garnish: Lemon zest twist
